Hi there!
If anyone asked me what concealer works best for me, which one I've repurchased because I actually love it, which one has a great coverage and ACTUALLY conceals, my answer would be MAC's Pro Longwear Concealer.
This was the first actual concealer I got. I think it was about 5-6 years ago. I was getting started with makeup and noticed that foundation usually wasn't enough to cover under my eyes, so MAC was probably the first brand I thought of when I thought of something that wasn't drugstore. Don't get me wrong, drugstore concealers have come a LONG way, but back then, they weren't worth it because they weren't really that good, didn't cover as much and ended up creasing lots and making everything super messy.
What do I love about it? First of all, I love how even after all this time, I keep going back to it. I know that I can definitely trust it to cover what I need (not just under-eyes, but also acne, discoloration, etc.). I also think that one bottle of it lasts a VERY long time. Actually, when I got it for the first time, it was the only concealer I had, so I used it quite a lot, and it lasted over a year. It's one of the concealers that crease the least on me, but if you set it with powder, there's absolutely no problem at all. They also have a very wide range of shades, so you're almost guaranteed to find one that works for you, no matter what your undertones are, how dark your under-eye area is or if it's a little bit purple. It blends really well, it's buildable, easy to work with, and it's very long-lasting on your skin.
What don't I like so much? That it can be a bit drying, but I've found that if I wear a nice and hydrating moisturiser on my eye area (which I do everyday), it works a thousand times better and it's not drying at all (but yeah, the first time I tried it I was probably 17 and didn't have a skincare routine). You might have to be careful if you decide to build it up, especially with how delicate your eye area is, because it can feel quite heavy, but if you blend it well, it's perfect. Plus, the coverage is so good that you probably don't even need to build it up under your eyes, it's probably more for those stubborn fresh pimples that don't want to go away that you might need more than one layer.
I would definitely, definitely recommend this for anyone looking for a good concealer that is long-lasting, good quality and lasts for a long time.
In Australia, it's around $38 and you can get it from any MAC stores or from David Jones (link here)
Hope you enjoyed it, thanks for reading me! xo
*Disclaimer: All these opinions are my own, I wasn't paid by MAC or anyone to share this, I just genuinely think that this concealer is amazing and life-changing.*
