Hi everyone!
Today I'm finally talking about my most favourite foundation of all time!! The Shiseido Synchro Skin Lasting Liquid Foundation!
I got it in Summer as a gift, and I loved it straight away, but since it was summer and I was a bit more tanned, it didn't match the rest of my body and it made me look like a ghost :( so I just left it there and started using others, until Winter came and I decided to give it a go once again and SCORE! I was actually back to being pasty-white ghost-shade and it was a perfect match! My skin is VERY light, and I usually have trouble finding foundations (especially drugstore) that match the colour of my neck perfectly, but this one just couldn't be a better match.
It is definitely more on the pricey-side, but I find it SO worth it. The presentation is absolutely flawless, it comes in a very nice bottle that gives it quite an elegant touch.
The texture is just dreamy in my opinion. It is kinda liquidy (a bit like the Nars All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation), but the coverage is pretty decent (probably light to medium), it is very light on the skin, not giving you the heavy mask feel, it has a dewy finish, but it's oil-free, it doesn't settle into lines (which happens A LOT to me with other foundations), and it lasts really well without a primer. Usually when I wear this foundation, I only use powder on my T-zone, because it's where I usually get a bit more oily, but the other areas of my face go through the day really well without needing to be set.
My skin tends to get a lot dryer in Winter, but it's still normal/combination. I get areas that can get quite dry (chin, forehead, cheeks), but my nose is a bit on the oilier side. This is commonly a problem for me because there are NO foundations that "stick" to my nose, no matter how much I set it or use primer or anything, but this foundation sticks a lot more than others. It's not perfect, obviously, it still melts off a bit at some point, but it's the one that has worked the best.
It does have SPF 20, which is good on a daily-basis, but it's probably not recommended for big events or special occasions where you'll get important pictures taken, because it'll most likely cause flashback, but then that's the case with all (or most) foundations with SPF.
It's also probably not recommendable for dry skin -not my case, so I can't tell you my experience- but I've seen some reviews from people with dry skin and most of them have hated it. It is an oil-free base, so it makes sense either way.
If you're looking for a new foundation to use everyday, and your skin sounds similar to mine, I can't recommend this enough, and I hope you love it as much as I do.
You can get it from David Jones in Australia, it's around $72 and this is the link.
Hope you enjoyed this post, thanks for reading me! xo
P.S: The shade I'm using is Neutral 1, which is a VERY light shade, so beware because it's lighter in real life than it looks online.
*Disclaimer: All these opinions are my own, I wasn't paid by Shiseido or anyone to share this, I just genuinely think that it's a great product worth a try.*
