Today's post is all about achieving that perfect, flawless skin, without having to spend hundreds. Drugstore makeup has come a long way, and there's more and more choices each time that actually deliver results and give you a look that's very similar to high-end. So let's get into it!
| MAYBELLINE | Dream Cushion Foundation
This foundation is awesome. It's lightweight, natural, and gives your skin the prettiest glow. It's perfect for the everyday, because it's easy and quick to apply, plus its compact packaging is perfect to take with you wherever you go if you need a touch-up. | COVERGIRL | Outlast Stay Fabulous 3 in 1 Foundation
This one has been my favourite for 2 years. I love how light it is on the skin, while having an amazing coverage. The fact that it's a foundation, a primer and concealer, all in one, definitely makes a difference. It lasts really well on the skin and gives you a nice and flawless finish. I think it's especially good for fair skin, because this one matches my shade really well, and I usually struggle a lot with high-street foundation because I can very easily end up looking like a Dorito lol. | RIMMEL | Wake Me Up Foundation
Another glowy-effect one. It has these tiny little particles that provide glow to your face, making you look more awake. It is probably not the lightest one on the skin I've used, but the finish is worth it. Plus, if you're used to wearing foundation, you won't feel it. Its coverage is very natural, but still covers what it needs to, plus it hydrates your skin. It is around $20 in Australia, and you can get it here.
| NYX | Total Control Drop Foundation
This foundation has some very good reviews, and I can understand why. So you basically have 3 foundations in 1, because depending on how many drops you use, you can get the coverage you want. You need 2 drops for a light coverage, 3 for medium, and 4 for high coverage. Its formula blurs out pores, without being too matte or too glowy, and it lasts really well on the skin, giving you a nice and natural finish. It is around $25 and can be found here.
| BOURJOIS | Healthy Mix Serum Gel Foundation
This foundation is meant to be very nutritious for your skin, because its formula has fruits and berries that make your skin feel radiant. Because of this, it's perfect for sensitive skin. It might be a bit shiny if your skin is very oily, but it should be more than fine if you set it with powder. It is meant to last 16 hours, so it's quite long-lasting. | L'OREAL | True Match Foundation
This one has been a favourite for YEARS. Every time you see a drugstore foundation ranking, it is included. It makes your skin look very natural and even, and gives quite a natural finish. It covers what it needs to cover, but doesn't give you the mask-effect. Its best feature is the colour range, which they have actually improved recently, making sure that everyone has one that matches their shade. It is around $21 and you can get it here.
