The perfect iron for your hair + REVIEW

Hey everyone!

On today's post I'm going to talk about my favourite straightening tool: The Kate iron by Halo.

Let me tell you a bit about my hair first. It is quite frizzy, it is kinda wavy in some areas and a bit straighter in others, it is normal with a tendency to get pretty dry on the ends, so I'm always careful with the tools I use.

So because my hair has such an "interesting" shape, I usually find myself wanting to do something about it in order to make it less messy, whether it's "enhancing" the waves with some heatless methods, or just ironing it or curling it with a wand.

I started using irons about 10 years ago, when for some reason (might have been a bad haircut, I don't remember exactly) my hair started being a lot harder to tame. My parents got me my first ever straightening iron and I fell in love with it, because I discovered a whole new world of silky-soft hair (insert celestial music here, lol). Obviously, because irons don't last forever, I've tried many different brands and types, and thanks to being super picky, my hair's never suffered THAT much. Of course, it's been through really dry and burnt stages, but nothing that a good haircut couldn't fix, plus I knew that when it started getting damaged, it was clearly time to leave the iron for a bit and focus on healing my hair before being able to style it again.

So back in December, I decided I needed to get a new iron, because you know when your old one just doesn't work anymore, or it starts behaving a bit weirdly. I was very clear that I wanted to invest and actually get a good one, so getting a GHD seemed like the best option. Well, I basically got told by the girl in the shop that if I was gonna spend that much money, that I would be better off getting a Halo, because allegedly GHD had changed its country of origin and the quality wasn't as good anymore, plus she said that she actually owned this iron, and her hair was really pretty, so it was definitely a plus.

Everytime I use this iron (which is probably more often than I should, whoops) my hair is just completely transformed. It is completely smooth, soft, shiny, silky... And even though the irons I've tried in the past also left my hair straight and soft, the Halo is just a total game-changer, and my hair's NEVER been this silky soft before, I promise you. It's just the way that I never thought it would feel.

The best thing about it too, is that it's almost guaranteed to work perfectly for you, because there are 2 different models - The Kate and The Farrah - and The Farrah is specifically designed for coarse, thick hair. So no matter your hair type, we can all have perfectly smooth straight hair :)

The Kate has Japanese Kyocera Technology, which mends hair during the styling process with infrared rays, making it perfect for coloured, dry or damaged hair (and seriously guys, this is the first iron that I feel like it actually means what it's saying with regards to repairing dry/damaged hair). It has temperature control (between 100°C-210°C), ceramic floating plates (for static free hair), and it's safe to use because it automatically turns itself off after 30 minutes  without use.

So as you can see, I think this is a very good tool for your hair. You can get it in Australia from Hairhouse Warehouse, link here.

Hope you enjoyed this post, thanks for reading me! xo

*Disclaimer: All these opinions are my own, I wasn't paid by Halo or Hairhouse Warehouse, or anyone to share this, I just genuinely think that this iron is awesome and life-changing.*
