MAC Studio Fix Fluid Foundation Review*

Hi beauties!

In today´s post, I'm gonna be reviewing this lovely foundation and sharing the reasons why this is my favourite at the moment. Ever since I got it, I've been reaching for it 99% of the time. Wanna know why? Just keep on reading.

So this foundation is one of MAC's best sellers, and it has been around for 25 years! It's a foundation that has up to 24 hour wear, has SPF 15, it refines skin, provides comfortable oil-control all day, is sweat and humidity resistant, it's good for all skin types, it's dermatologist-tested and non-acnegenic.

It has a medium to full buildable coverage. It is very long-wearing and it helps minimize the appearance of pores and imperfections, giving a smoother, more flawless finish.

So, is it really that amazing?

In my opinion, it's pretty close. I love how it makes my skin look really nice and flawless, and I find it really does minimize the look of pores and imperfections. It doesn't look like a mask, it doesn't look ridiculously heavy, even though it has a decent amount of coverage and it's very long lasting.
I definitely haven't kept it on for 24 hours, so I don't know if it ACTUALLY lasts that long on your skin, but I have worn it for close to 12 hours and it has survived perfectly. I also think it's really good with sweat and humidity, because I remember that the day I tried it on in the MAC store, it was sweltering and it didn't melt off my skin, which was a big thing for me because that is a problem that I have all the time.

Is there anything I don't like about it?

I'm a huge fan of this foundation, as it really does what it claims to do. However, I'm not a big fan of its smell. I don't know what it is, but it has quite a strong smell. You can tell it's probably from one of the ingredients, because it's not an added fragrance. It does go away after a bit, so you're not stuck with that smell the whole day, which is obviously a good thing.

MAC - STUDIO FIX FOUND NW 13

This foundation is so, so great because it adapts so well to your skin type, and you can even 'customize' it a little bit. In my case - because this is such a matte finish and I have normal/dry skin - what I do is I mix it with a bit of Strobe Cream (by MAC as well) and I get a gorrrrgeous dewy, flawless finish.
They have done an awesome job with this foundation because it's available in over 40 shades! This is so cool because you can be sure you're gonna find your perfect match, no matter your skin tone. My shade is NW13 and it matches me so well. I actually feel like it's one of the first foundations to match me so well, and I don't have to worry about extending it down my neck to avoid looking like I have a mask.

I also set it with a bit of Fix + Setting Spray (obviously by MAC too) so I can get the most out of its duration and be certain that it will stay put until I decide to remove it.

I definitely think this is a really, really good foundation that you can easily adapt to your skin's needs, so I would totally recommend trying it if you're in need of a new one.

*I was lucky enough to get these products (Studio Fix Fluid foundation, Strobe Cream and Fix +) kindly sent to me by MAC to try out and review, but my opinions are 100% genuine and honest. I wouldn't recommend any products that I personally don't like or wouldn't use myself.*
