Reviewing my First K-Beauty Product

Hi beauties!

I'm so excited to tell you all about this amazing product that I've recently come across. It's my first time trying anything from the Korean beauty market, and I've had such an awesome experience! So let me just tell you EVERYTHING!

Ok, so I've been meaning to try K-Beauty for AGES, but there was always a reason that would stop me from doing it. I've been following a K-Beauty account on Instagram (@glowrecipe - they have AWESOME products), and one day when I was just scrolling through my feed, I saw a picture of this moisturiser. I thought it looked SO cool, so different and so innovative, so I had to try it (plus I was about to run out of moisturiser anyway).

So the star of today's show is the Hana Cream by J.One. And what's so cool about it is that it comes in these little spheres, so you know exactly how much you have to be using. It's an anti-aging cream that creates the appearance of visibly lifted and firmer skin with concentrated peptide complex and fullerene. What this means is that it's really good for you if you wanna target fine lines/wrinkles and/or loss of firmness, while also avoiding free radicals that cause skin to age prematurely.

"J.One's Hana Cream is perfectly portioned in spherical capsules. Formulated with super-powered antioxidant fullerene, the cream works to help neutralize skin-damaging free radical activity while nourishing with a blend of macadamia and sunflower oils. Fullerene acts to visually plump and brighten the appearance of skin. Zhimu extract helps protect, while concentrated peptides work to visibly firm the skin for a toned, glowing appearance."

So, what's my experience with it?

I am actually SO pleased with it - it does everything it claims to do and more.
I usually use two of the capsules, and it leaves my skin feeling SO perfect. It is SERIOUSLY moisturising (which might not be great for you if you have oily skin - it's recommended for dry, sensitive, combination and normal skin types) and I also feel like it has a bit of a 'tightening' effect. When I put it on, it makes my skin feel really plump and hydrated, and it stays like that the whole day, which is one of my favourite parts.
It doesn't make me break out, which is great, as I'm usually a bit scared of these kind of moisturisers (heavier ones) because they can make me go crazy with spots.
My skin is more on the dry side, but I can get a little tiny bit of oiliness on my nose sometimes. However, I've found that this cream, even though it is a bit heavy, helps control that oiliness, and my nose is left feeling pretty normal the whole day.
If you live in an area where it gets REALLY hot during summer (hello, Australia), I wouldn't recommend using this cream because it might be just too much for your skin to handle, and it might melt off. However, I think this would be perfect to use at night in that hot weather, and totally perfect for using during Winter/Autumn/any weather that's not over 35°C.
I am honestly so, so glad I tried this product, because I know I'm gonna be using it a lot and it's gonna deliver results that are as good as a high-end cream for a fraction of the cost.

If you are in the U.S, it'll be very easy for you to find it (Sephora or glowrecipe.com, and it's around US$50), but unfortunately in Australia it is a little bit more tricky. In my case, I got it from eBay (it was about A$40, because I got it directly from a seller in Korea), but you can also get it from a couple other websites. You can get it from Nudie Glow (linked here) or you can also get it from glowrecipe.com, although I do believe you would have to pay for shipping from the US, which would mean paying a lot more, obviously.

I really hope you enjoyed this post as much as I enjoyed trying this product and writing about it :)

Thanks for reading me, xo
